ADMISSION
At the elementary level, there are no specific requirements to attend a magnet school. An application must be submitted to the Magnet Schools Department. If there are more applications than there are seats available, a computerized random lottery will be utilized for student selections.
Clark County School District sets aside 25% of the seats for students in grades K- 5 who live in the attendance zone and/or siblings who apply for a magnet school. If there are fewer geographic preference students and/or siblings who apply for a magnet school than there are available seats, then all of the geographic preference area students and/or siblings will be admitted. If there are more geographic preference area students and/or siblings who apply than there are available seats, Clark County School District will use a separate computerized random lottery to select the students who are given the preference area and/or sibling seats. Notification of student selections will be mailed in February to parents/guardians of every student applicant.
